Sourdough Bread
Sourdough bread is made out of a sourdough starter. That is a mixture of flour and water that is left to ferment which contains wild yeast and good bacteria to make bread rise. This also produces the tangy flavor and slightly chewy texture you’ll find in sourdough bread. The benefits are multiple: easy digestion, natural preservatives, good glucose regulation, better absorption of vitamins and minerals. Sourdough bread has been made for thousands of years back in Egypt till 50 years ago when the chemical industry kicked in with instant yeast to make bread making faster and easier.
